ABOUT OUTDOOR EARLY LEARNING AT BLOOM & GROW

Bloom & Grow Outdoor Early Learning was created to offer children a calm, thoughtful, and developmentally grounded early learning experience rooted in play, outdoor exploration, and strong social emotional foundations.

Our program is intentionally designed to honor childhood while supporting children in developing the skills they need to thrive in group settings and beyond. We believe early learning should feel safe, respectful, and engaging, with space for curiosity, creativity, and authentic relationships to grow.

Bloom & Grow is guided by experienced educators who value depth over volume and quality over pace.

OUR PHILOSOPHY IN PRACTICE

At Bloom & Grow, learning is play based, relationship driven, and deeply intentional. Children are supported in developing emotional awareness, social skills, confidence, and problem solving abilities through daily experiences that are predictable, responsive, and meaningful.

Our days are structured with consistent rhythms, extended outdoor play, shared meals, and opportunities for both collaboration and independent exploration. Social emotional learning is embedded throughout the day through guidance, modeling, and support during real moments of interaction, conflict, and connection.

We believe children learn best when they are treated as capable individuals and supported by adults who know them well.

MEET THE FOUNDER AND TEACHER

MS. TALINA

Bloom & Grow was founded by Ms. Talina, an early childhood educator with a deep commitment to child development and over two decades of experience in the field of early learning.

​

Ms. Talina holds a Master’s degree in Child Development from CSU Sacramento and completed her undergraduate studies at CSU Chico. Her professional background includes over 20 years working in early learning settings, serving as a lead teacher in both private and public school districts, providing professional learning and coaching for educators, and supporting programs at the county level.

​

In addition to founding and leading Bloom & Grow for over eight years, Ms. Talina has served as a Program Manager for the Early Learning Department at the Sacramento County Office of Education, supporting quality improvement, professional development, and program leadership.

​

As both an educator and a parent, Ms. Talina is committed to advocating for children and creating environments where they are respected as individuals, guided with care, and supported through developmentally appropriate, play based learning experiences.​

MEET OUR CO-TEACHER

MS. KRISTA

Ms. Krista is a valued member of the Bloom & Grow teaching team and brings warmth, creativity, and a strong foundation in early childhood education into the daily life of the program.

​

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz and has completed formal Montessori training. Her background informs the way she supports children’s independence, creativity, and engagement through hands on, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

​

Ms. Krista works closely alongside Ms. Talina to support children’s social emotional growth, facilitate play and exploration, and maintain a calm, nurturing learning environment. Families value the consistency, care, and collaboration that come from a dedicated teaching team working together.

INTENTIONAL DESIGN &

CONSISTENT CARE

Bloom & Grow was intentionally created as a thoughtfully sized, home based outdoor early learning program so children can be known deeply and supported consistently.

 

Ms. Talina and Ms. Krista are the educators guiding learning, supporting social emotional development, and building relationships with children and families each and every day. The program, environment, and group size were designed specifically to allow for this level of consistency, care, and professional presence.

Bloom & Grow remains intentionally designed to support meaningful interactions, strong relationships, and the kind of learning that unfolds best within a stable, responsive community.

This approach supports individualized care, strong relationships, and a sense of belonging within the learning community.
